GPS satellites locate and communicate with a transceiver on board your vehicle, which exchanges information on location and speed, as well as executing any commands you've sent.
Trackn then uses cellular technology to communicate the GPS satellite information back to the user. This combination of technologies is what allows you to establish a two way flow of information with your vehicle.
Our technology operates on existing cellular networks to send and receive data packets, tapping into unused channels on the back side of standard cell frequencies.
The cell towers then relay
the signal back to you via the exact means by which it
was sent.
Exactly What Does Trackn Do?
The unit can be configured to automatically send in a report when certain conditions are met.
The user can control the vehicle via the web or by cellular phone to immediately perform various actions.
The unit can be configured to automatically perform up to 10 actions at scheduled times or time intervals. Settings include time of day, and day's of week or interval between days.
When
required the unit can be configured to turn off the communication modules to save power after the ignition has been off for a configured number of hours. It will wake up briefly to transmit any messages.
The user can individually select reports to immediately forward to an email address when they are received by the system. For example, the user can select to be notified on his/her cell phone
via text message whenever the car
has violated a constraint region. |
